Return to joyful, embodied, whole-hearted living.
Specialized therapy for adult sexual assault survivors, single women, and performing artists.
Breathe. Trust yourself. Know you’ll be okay.
You never expected this.
-
You may not be ready to name it yet, but you know you’re on a sexual assault page for a reason.
You’re not even sure what to call it, but a part of you knows something went wrong.
You never thought something like this would happen to you.
You feel numb, stunned, overwhelmed, and devastated. Your world was supposed to be safe.
You don’t know what to do next.
-
You’re afraid that it’s going to claim your future from you, too, not just what it already took.
You’ve been holding it together, but you know you need to talk to someone about what happened.
You feel like you don’t trust anyone anymore, least of all yourself.
It doesn’t feel fair that the person who assaulted you gets to just go on living while you’re stuck dealing with all the ruins.
You decided to pursue a criminal or Title IX process, and the emotional rollercoaster of the whole thing feels infuriating and unending. You just want life to feel normal again.
-
You want to, but you can’t bring yourself to get back out there yet. There’s a nagging voice telling you that the assault might have something to do with it.
You’re exhausted by the dating scene and worried you’ll never find a healthy partner.
You’ve been crushing it in so many areas of life - your career, your friendships, your life goals - but dating is the one realm you still can’t seem to figure out yet.
You’re afraid there aren’t any good and healthy partners left out there.
You’re afraid the assault is going to keep you from having the loving and intimate relationship you want, even when it’s right at your fingertips.
Hi, I’m Jackie.
Wherever you are in the journey, I know this road map.
I specialize in helping adult women who have experienced a sexual assault survive the shock and overwhelm, feel safe and at home again in their life and relationships, and return to joyful, embodied, whole-hearted living.
I’ve worked with adult survivors of sexual assault for nearly 15 years, as a therapist, a victim advocate, and a prevention specialist. I believe in therapy that honors your inner wisdom:
the wisdom of your brain and body that protected you and helped you survive the assault,
the wisdom of your intuition in helping you know what you need next and when, and
the wisdom of your soul in lovingly guiding you toward the life you still seek.
Sexual assault doesn’t have to upend your story.
If the assault happened recently, I’ll help you feel steady again and find your way through.
If it’s been a bit, I’ll help you make sense of how this has shaped you, how it’s getting in your way, and how you can get unstuck.
If you’re trying to date or in a relationship, I’ll help you move toward the connection and life you are seeking, knowing you can trust yourself along the way.
Think talk therapy that feels safe for all stages of trauma healing after a sexual assault.
You’re not alone in this.

Are you a singer or performing artist?
Struggling with stage fright, theater trauma, or showing up authentically?
Every performer should get to share their beautifully-uninhibited creative self with the world. Sometimes anxiety, theater trauma, and life stuff gets in the way of that. As a therapist who also loves the stage, I’ve got a safe space for you to make sense of it.
Let’s help you find your shine.
Sessions available in-person or online to best meet your needs.
In-person sessions for the comfort of my office (Harrisonburg, VA);
online sessions for the comfort of your own home (anywhere in Virginia).
Ready for support?
Click below to schedule a free consultation. We’ll connect for 20 minutes by video to assess the fit together. I will ask you to share the basics of what’s bringing you, but I won’t ask you to share the trauma details. We’ll simply decide together if I’m the right fit for you.
If the fit feels right, we can schedule your first session. If not, I’ll help redirect you to a different match.
